BiggestLoser : “But the controversial new addition to the game was always going to be a risk that could backfire on the ‘Raging Reds’.”
Sure has. They have lost the major challenge. They have lost their good sense of unity and we have seen them for who they are this week and it hasn’t looked particularly good. That stone has been quite powerful in its teaching of lessons. Mel, from the Blue team , who had to swap toRed has been broken down. She looks so traumatised and we all know she is made of pure gold, but it has been so much for her to cope with. She has suffered the most. Laura being swapped to the Blue team has been good for her because the reds showed quite clearly they are not a nurturing team at all so a team is only as strong as its weakest link and they are all week. Laura needs to be brought out and her strength will show. The Blues will get the best out of her.Laura, too, was taking some big knocks thanks to the reds. They know how to deal the body blows but it does back fire and now they do not feel good about themselves. The blues still have peronal integrity and so they can pull together strongly as a team. I have to say, though, that Greg on the running machine was just awesome and he certainly lifted the game at that point to a new level. Only to have it smashed to bits by the “cunning” plans of the others. The Blues at least are still focussed on fitness, weightloss, and friendship. Not even the Commando training for the Red sank into their psyches. They learnt a lot and then it was all blown away by their cunning plan. It was great to see them all ring home this week because they have all earned that. Whatever else they have done, they are human and for Mel, especially, it was so important because I really fear for her at the moment. She has taken quite a beating and like Damien, I think it’s not on to do that to someone. It’s about losing weight not losing your mind. Gold stars and plus points to the trainers who have taken all the twists and turned them to positives and who have shown inordinate compassion and a great capacity to train anyone under any conditions.
