The Biggest Loser 2007

Greg is a real friend and Damien is a real hero. Greg recognised that Damien had inspired humanity even though the Red Team had won and he was not frightened to step out and show some genuine regard and care for Damien who had really shown so much courage and strength. He is awesome. Awesome. To bring in the Commando an hour and a half after they got into bed was a cruel trick. No wonder those off the show do better. Look better. Lose more weight. Blue has just been flogged. Then there’s the immunity and the walk both of which undermine the good teaching of the house and the trainers. As fast as the trainers put it back in place, the quixotic nature of the programme pulls it undone. The residents are forced to undo all their good habits to gain immunity and the control of the walk which has decimated the Blue Team.
How does capriciousness fit in with the good teachings and renovation the contestants are learning? Okay, I accept their world should not fall apart because they eat a hamburger or gorge a Mars Bar. Weightloss is about being in control. But there is no real choice because of the walk. There is no real opportunity to be rational because the walk can put you on another team or out of the programme. It really must make the trainers wonder why they are their because all their expertise comes into play, is tested to the max and then thrown out the window. You come to the conculsion you’re better off with a gym ,your own life and family. And we’ve learnt that Courtney is about himself and Greg is about real effort and real success…and is genuinely impressed by anyone’s show of gargantuan effort…which ,on the show, counts for absolutely zip.
