The Biggest Loser 2007

When you see Greg and Mel voted off The Biggest Loser, you start to wonder what the show is about. The game. The game is more important than the attitude to health and fitness. Last year the final 4 were good examples of health, fitness and dedication to reshaping themselves and their lives. This year it’s about strategy and so the two who are the prime examples of focus, hard work, team playing and dedication to a healthy, fit lifestyle are voted off. Then Michelle supporting the Red Team when it’s supposed to be about duos?? What was that about? Outsiders coming in tomorrow? They kick off Greg and Mel and bring in outsiders? Andy, Micheal, Gerard, Kelly and P’eta are so easily forgotten. Bring in outsiders? Is this Big Brother Biggest Loser? It’s been less on fitness and more on muddle…except for those off the show. They look a picture of health and happiness. They just look brilliant. So what are the messages? A Mars a day keeps the kilos at bay. Damien is still there and at least an inspiration to those who really have a lot to lose. He is looking so much better and he does bust his gut but he needs to be encouraged to keep taking those fitness risks. Laura has to be kept going because she is 20 and will shoot her messages into the future. She needs to be made stronger and stronger. Marty is a great example for older people. Greg was just so marvellous tonight. He sees things in a very positive light and is a very powerful speaker. He has the capacity to reach inside people and move them. A great advocate for his new found health and lifestyle. A person who could reach into so many lives and change them for the better because he has conviction. Mel, too, has that same capacity to move people but she does it in a very modest, unassuming way. She would have people just eating out of her hand if she trained them. She has the power to get through to young people. Well, I can’t believe what is happening. I am just glad we see what is happening to those who leave the show because the show seems to have lost it.
