The Biggest Loser 2007

Would we like those two waiting on our doorstep? I think so!! How lucky for them all to be in Queenstown. New Zealand really is beautiful and will be such a contrast to our dry , dusty and water starved land at present. So, Marty’s gone. He was in on a second chance, did well for himself and has what it takes to keep himself on the right road. He has benefited greatly from being on the show and he does set a good example. I am concerned Chris is showing signs of obsession and maybe anorexia. He is no weight loss machine. He is a trifle unbalanced and the show is right to look at it and then to let us hear Bob talk some sense to him. We saw how weak he was. A young man who could be an athlete not eating properly and not giving himself the fuel to train at the top. Oh how the mighty are fallen, but it’s a good lesson and hopefully they can settle Chris down before he really does take off on the wrong track. Damien is just an inspiration. He works as hard as the others on their starting weight and lacks neither courage nor commitment. It is very hard for him. He is working so much harder than the others to get things done but he is the one who will get through to all those people who are so grossly overweight. He is showing them everyday you just have to move your butt and learn from the experts. He never forgets to thank Bob and Shannan. My wish is for Patti to move way from the triumvirate to show she is her own person and has the courage to stand alone. It’s what she needs. She has come so far and she needs to be able to stand on her own two feet. Likewise Courtney. He has a personality which has often been negative but it would appear that was a cover up for very poor self esteem. Now he likes himself his demeanour has changed and he is starting to be his own person, but he too lacks the faith in himself to make his own decisions and to operate as his own self. I keep thinking he could be the new Bert Newton. He talks away, he has some good humour and he can get others to be comfortable and is not averse to saying things strongly and clearly. With the right training he’d be a good talk show host because he has some style. He needs to abandon the last vestiges of pettiness. As for Mel and Greg…how far have they come and they are still very popular contestants out in the community. The young ones love Mel and Damien and most people seem to think Damien is the natural winner. Everyone likes Greg’s friendly nature and his capacity to stick to his goals and support others. The two of them just look so good…so go , Greg and Mel!!
