Life, but not as we know it

Life, but not as we know it : “‘I do not believe that the systems we are talking about are life as we know it. We need to define the criteria for what we think of as life much more clearly.'”

I love it when we get things like this. making life, as such, from inorganic matter, so now there’s the thought that aliens may not have DNA like us. I’m not a sci-fi person, but I do find it odd we seem to be the only inhabited planet and since we seem to keep making the same mistakes over and over and demonstrate we are incapable of progress, then I like the notion there is a different species somewhere that can get it right ! Thinkers and scientists like this will lead us somewhere to something and now we are thinking like that and can produce “weird life”, then there is some hope of finding something or someone out there. It’s exciting. I really find it exciting.
