KAB Plastic Bag Education

KAB Plastic Bag Education Resource: “This resource offers an integrated approach to environmental learning, based on inquiry and enterprise education models.”

If you hate plastic bags as much as I do then the Keep Australia Beautiful site has some really practical ideas for getting information out to the community to educate them so that they change their ways! The resource kit is for teachers but the strategies can be used by any group that wants to make a change. In South Australia we have had a big team effort and it has been just like this. We were educated, informed and then redirected. It is fantastic not to see those dopey bags all along the high way, blowing into gardens, at the beach, in rivers and on every strip of space available. We have been using our cloth and reyclable shopping bags and we are just used to carrying alternative bags now and it is so much better. We feel good because we made a change and the whole landscape looks better now.
