Gone Fishing

I have a yellow guppy
Harvey is his name
He’s such a funny bugger
And likes to have a game

He chases all the females
Up and down the tank
He’s a randy little fishy
But so lovable and frank

Each day I watch him chasing
Pretty tales in sparkling waters
He nudges and he nuzzles
And he never ever falters

He does enjoy his frolic
He gives them all a go
But never does he catch one –
Is he clever or too slow?

I wonder what becomes of him
When I turn out the light
Is he still there chasing after them
Or does he take a rest at night?

Dear Harvey, are you happy
In all your yellow glory?
Must I watch forever
Your never ending story?
