Exams – a survival guide

Exams – a survival guide: “One of the most stressful things is exams.”

Yes, the exam season is upon us again and we have to be mindful of our young kids at school and uni trying to get their best results. Some will be panicking, some will be stressing and some will be trying to hold it together. Keeping an eye on them is important because they can become quite prickly and reluctant to talk. The cope alone syndrome. There are some good sites on the Net to help them plot and plan their exam campaign. A lot of common sense. It’s about pacing, timing, defusing the fear and keeping physically in good shape and rested. I wish them all the best of luck and I think we can help if we make sympathetic noises at this stage. Even if they haven’t done enough work, they can still pull some loose ends together to get an exam result. So we’ll smile lots, take a deep breath and it’ll all be over by the end of November!!
