Lifestyle advisers

Making the right choice on health: “People at high risk of diabetes, heart disease and some cancers will be referred by their GPs to advisers, who will help them quit smoking, lose weight, exercise more, cope better with stress and reduce their alcohol consumption.”

Bearing in mind people are people and not perfect, then I think offering advisers is probably a good way to get people on track because we lack that sense of community and people just get lost in the wash. So many people are making the wrong decisions you can only assume the system and lifestyle is at fault and we need to find ways and means of restoring the balance so that people will want to look after themselves. An advisor who plays the role of coach will probably help, but we need to think of other things as well which will stop people making the wrong choices in such huge numbers.
