Twins hold key to leukemia advance

Twins hold key to leukemia advance : “By comparing Olivia Murphy, 4, who is in remission from acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, and her healthy sister, Isabella, researchers have traced the tumour stem cells that drive the most common form of childhood cancer.”

This is fantastic news and it’s great the family has been kind enough to let the doctors and researchers use their two girls so that such a life changing discovery can be made. It must be devasting for parents to have to deal with such an illness in their little children. The study will further our treatments for cancers and that is so great we can start to make a breakthorugh of this nature with such a destructive disease.
