Big-game heart risk for spectators : “Doctors have long suspected a link between sports-watching and heart trouble, but the new report provides some of the most solid evidence to date.”
I guess that the best thing about this is that it is backed by research. Before we all knew it and the hardest thing to do is to convince someone with a heart condition to slow down and take it easy when there is a big match on. They do put stress on themselves and they do make themselves ill and we are not surprised to hear that they have heart attacks. For years we have sat by trying to talk sense into these people and maybe these findings will help formulate better arguments. Maybe all these “finals” have contributed to the condition developing in the first place!
