Bit by bit we are getting to know the contestants and young Sam is starting to shape up as someone worth watching. He is 19 and it is a crying same that such a great kid with such a good mind and beautiful personality has a body which is out of control. There will be a story and he may well be typical of the young ones. There are so many overweight young ones. Tonight his eyes really lit up when he found out they were going into the red and blue teams and there was a maze to tackle. He obviously likes puzzling, he likes a good competition. He enjoys strategy and to him the thinking was coming really easily. His mind will be a real asset and you wonder why someone with such a good mind and who is such a nice person cannot control his eating and food intake. It isn’t logical, but still. He will learn quickly and he doesn’t seem to be easily intimidated. Given he is up against some real connivers now, it should prove to be really interesting because Sam has a real sense of fun and looks upon game as a fun thing! He is not frightened to work hard either and just goes with the flow. He is very balanced. His excess weight doesn’t make sense to me because he seems too sensible . I look forward to watching him become intrigued because I think the game aspect of the show will be a doddle to him and we have never seen anyone manage the game aspect in a balanced way. We’ll see. It was also see good to see Sean just hang in there with all the problems he has and show people they have just got to tough it out.The alternatives are far more drastic and painful. He and John are good support for each other. I keep looking at them and they both look older than they are and I so look forward to seeing them grow younger as they grow in health. One of the worst aspects of men is they let things go and then don’t want to fight back. They’d actually rather give into dying than sort themselves out healthwise. Men can be very self destructive like than. Once they start to fall apart they often just continue to let things deteriorate. It is destructive for them but it breaks the hearts of their families. I so hope John and Sean can get through to older men that it is never to late to get your backside into gear and take responsibility for your health…because we are surrounded by experts and people with a lot of knowledge who are there to help and guide us. We just have to ask…and then take action!!
