From what we saw, Debs didn’t seem to be a bad trainer at all. She at least had a routine and a tight ship…which sprung a leak with Sean. I still like him. He needs all the help he can get because I am not certain he has as yet understood that it is all in his hands. His heart is in the right place. If he needs attention it’s because he is terrified of dying and that is something which wouldn’t occur to the people who are not threatened like he is and who haven’t let themselves go like he has…and he has seen his dead brother. It’ll be playing heavily on his mind and that part of his psychological make up is not addressed. He spoke very strongly about how Shannan could just look at him and he felt secure. That is a good trainer. Shannan understands that honesty, openness and compassion are the key ingredients. Loved the boat challenge. The Reds could have held it together but they just implode all the time and play the blame game. We already know Rachel is 20 and very unfit. That is a fact. She needs to be encouraged because why would you give up on yourself at 20? Sam’s 19 and overweight but he still has a spirit and a very balanced outlook. I still cannot figure out how he got to be that overweight. He has such a good attitude. He loves people, he loves games, he enjoys life and he hates seafood…but he is a team player and he can already appreciate how others are and why. In the end it was the cohesiveness of the Blue team which won the challenge. They understand each other. They know how to balance each other and they are full of grit. They complain but they don’t blame. They try and change the negative behaviour and they have a pretty positive outlook. The Red team are snipers and it must be the colour which is affecting them. So…I see we have a bit of a weigh in scandal…I look forward to seeing what on earth is going down. I do feel, however, the game aspect pulls the show down. I’d much rather see them go for it, have challenges, enjoy testing out strategies and ways of losing weight. There has to be some type of competition to keep them engaged over the weeks but the walk is daft and the team idea shouldn’t be permanent. They should form teams for challenges and that way the pettiness of the Red team wouldn’t mar the good stuff in the show…and what about the Blacks? They are very inspiring to watch. We don’t actually get to see much of them and that may be part of a deal which was signed. And the Commando? I am certain he will turn up again because he made winners last year. He surely won’t be overlooked.
