Footie Fever

Crows slay ghosts of Eagles past: “The home side had not beaten West Coast since round 22, 2005, losing the past five contests, but a fast start and rollicking finish by the young Crows guided them home 21.7 (133) to 8.9 (57).”

We are ready for the football now because it’s gone cold and wet. It was hard to take an interest when it was steamy hot and we were all too wiped out. Yesterday, everyone was out in their Crows colours and the matches were being shown in different venues and there was some good, healthy interest and discussion…so we didn’t melt too much in the heat. It was just such a reward to watch the Crows beat the West Coast Eagles because they have been our nemesis just lately and each time we went up against them, we lost. It was a sweet feeling yesterday for so many people in Adelaide and certainly an icebreaker if you were out and about while the match was on! Football really gets us going in winter.
