The Biggest Loser 2008

Should we ignore the cattiness and put it down to lack of poise and security? The world according to Cosi – everyone is entitled to my opinion because I am the only one who is right. I am so looking forward to seeing Michelle setting him straight tomorrow. Someone needs to because there is no need and it doesn’t become him. That it might be Michelle is pleasing because she has needed to believe in herself, she has needed to be independent and she has needed to bring out that strength. People seem to forget that under the constraints or design of this year’s show, four were sent away to train with Bob and Jillian. They claim nothing other than to beat the fat off people and to make them winners. Everything else which was said was unnecessary, ill conceived and ungracious. Bob and Jillian have living proof in the likes of Adro, Courtney , Damo and the now independent success of our Australian show that they are good mentors, guides and trainers. A thank you wouldn’t go astray. The mealy mouthed nonsense is embarrassing. We are bigger than that. Shannan can claim credit for building great teams and people like John and Sean. Michelle can stand alone as the only person who could manage and stick by Munnalita who was driving everyone crazy including herself. Michelle stood quietly there, having got Munnalita to the stage of the bungy jump ,and she got Munnalita to do it. She achieved what no one else could have or would have. Munnalita now has a happy life thanks to Michelle. Michelle can work with very tricky customers and succeed. So all those trainers have a lot to offer and yes, some healthy rivalry, as Jillian said, won’t go astray. As the two Black team members left Michelle and Bryce are entitled to access to the trainers they know in the comfort zone they are familiar with. The others went straight to the house and they trained with Shannan and Michelle. The bonding with trainers is important at this stage so to keep the playing field even, Bob and Jillian need to be there. Anything else is irrelevant. But it would appear that Cosi has it all worked out again and I could see on the trailers that Michelle (contestant) was going to speak up and state her point of view. This is an act of courage. She has already been awesome tonight. That 20 year old pounded the treadmill at 20Km …not once, but twice. She was pushed to her limit and beyond. She shoed no fear and she just did it even though she was feeling physically stressed. That was something else…facing up to a pounding like that from Bob!! Bryce’s weightloss was great and a fantastic reward for the emotional pain he has moved through this week. I didn’t like the mean spirited aspect of the show tonight, but it was in all other respects a very positive and interesting programme. I don’t want Alison to be voted out. She hauled a 9 tonne bus 100 metres and then she hauled it another 400 hundred metres to just lose out on that race to Patti and Garry. Garry needed to win that because he needs to become independent and be proud of himself. His self esteem is so low for someone his age…and he is starting to have faith in himself. Nicola should go tomorrow because she seems to keep being the under 1 kilo loser and I am not sure why that is. I think she’ll do better off the show because she may well be out of her league now.
