‘Lung cancer’ gene discovered

'Lung cancer' gene discovered : “People who inherit a particular genetic variant are 30 per cent more likely to develop lung cancer than those who do not; in those who inherit two copies of the variant, the risk rises by up to 80 per cent.”

It’s good the research teams are disagreeing about what they have discovered and what ti might mean. Firstly it will help find a treatment which is more effective for lung cancer and secondly it will help us find a treatment for chronic smoker. Now they have identified the gene and are discussing the implications we are bound to have a much better picture of how we can use this research to help us.It’s a marvellous breakthrough.
