Regular exercise can help the resolve to quit smoking : “Researchers collected information from more than 23,000 Canadian smokers, about 25 per cent of whom were physically active. Compared to inactive smokers, physically active men were 36 per cent more likely to have tried to quit smoking within the past year. For women, physical activity increased the chances of attempting to quit by 37 per cent.”
Some pretty convincing statistics there and a much more positive approach…finding the things which undermine and destroy the bad habits! Sometimes you get a much better outcome if you divert rather than opting for the haranguing and the crime and punishment approach. It’s about finding the things which work against the human tendency to do yourself harm!
