Beating the winter blues

The winter fitness survival guide – Health & Wellbeing

When you’re busy and tired during the colder months, it’s easy to put off exercise till tomorrow.

This is a bit late for Adelaide now because we should have got onto it earlier. We have all been sick and some of that has been the cold wet conditions which were such a contrast to the hot, dry summer. The amount of dust we breathed in has given us all chesty things this winter and we have been down and depressed with the amount of illness we have had which we cannot shake off. We are starting to rally as the winter warms and we are getting out walking. That has been very noticeable. We did learn to rug up and keep warm. We did keep the healthy food going but we needed to be able to fight the depression and just work with the illnesses. There are some good tips here to get through winter…stock up on them for next winter!
