Caffeine Drinks

I don’t think we are monitoring caffeine drinks enough. They can deliver 160 mg of caffeine in a can along with the taurine which is purportedly great for feline health! Some students use them because they have left their work to the last minute and then drink these”high energy” drinks so they can get their assignments done on time. We are full of ill conceived behaviours and daft approaches. I think because it is caffeine we are not ringing alarm bells. I have to limit caffeine intake because it affects my heartbeat. A hit of 160 mg can’t possibly be good for the body and on a young body developing that kind of caffeine addiction is really going to create some heart problems surely? There doesn’t appear to be any corporate responsibility here so perhaps we need to fall back on our community responsibility again to get the message out and highlight the effects. There must be some effects by now because there are young boys who drink cans and cans of the stuff. We need to get it into perpective so we can think about it logically.

  1. Our non-profit is publishing a book on recovery from caffeine addition. We are looking for stories of recovery from various caffeinated products, including coffee, tea, energy drinks, no doz pills, soda, etc. Authors of the stories will be kept completely anonymous. This book is being written to help others who may be suffering from an addiction to caffeine and may identify with someone’s story and seek help. Stories are ideally between 2,000 and 4,000 words total. If you or someone you know has struggled with caffeine addiction, this is a great opportunity to reach out and help others. All participants will receive a free copy of the book, once it is published. Please email us at nocaf4me@xemaps.com or visit http://www.CaffeineAwareness.org
