Students seem to be enjoying  the Government’s Le@rning Federation’s Mobile Applications for Language Learning project. What a great initiative. they are trailling the automated menu to elarn Indonesian at the moment. We have just got to get our nation into languages and get our students to realise this is how they will earn more and become emplyable on a global market. Other countries have been far more enthusiastic in supporting languages in  school. We still get the everyone should speak English number and thereby show our lack of commitment to communication and what toehr nations consider to be normal and advantageous. It will cost us jobs but it will also not make it possible for us to satay international. It’s great the Government is doing this. I hope it is clearer about other language requirements. Australians are just as capable of being good at languages as anyone one else. It’s that headset that we all speak English everyone else can attitude which is holding us up and back. The Eastern states are moving ahead on this better than we are.Hopefully these sorts of technologies will be available to us all so we can all learn to communicate with each other.
