Winter Food

One of the good things about winter is that you can really get into the cooking and if you chose the right recipes  your home is filled with wonderful aromas which help beat the chill. Our winter has been particularly cold and wet and given we had a very hot summer , we are feeling a bit sorry for ourselves. At work we have kept each other cheered up by exchanging recipes and ideas so that we can eat our way through winter with warming meals. It has also taken the strain off worrying about what to cook each night so in that way we have done a lot to keep the strain off each other. One of my current favourites is chicken tikka. It is so good on a cold night.  I have also perfected fruit cake and a low fat chocolate cake which has been incredibly popular. My other favourite is ratatouille. Can’t get enough of it. This article has some good ideas and two lovely winter recipes.
